when my spirit
slows, life
goes cold
dig deep – faith
in the cracks that shine in
as sunshine
rays of hope
soulful saviors.

watching on water
dripping tears onto
my own silhouette – tapping my finger
feeling my soul flicker
you are beautiful, i say.

inside
a blackened abyss
of my dreams
a flower of
hope grew
in corals of
tears
ascend in faith

Poetry from the heart and soul, it’s here – no need to explain or attempt to get anybody to understand where it comes from, it’s all the gut, soul, and very deepest pits of my spirit.
While some of my poetry is prompts from Twitter, other verses are just ink to the paper, I sketch what the hands cannot –
This is my heart and soul.
Welcome.

i expand
an embolden balloon
floating hopeful words
reminding
this world is not
just wrong
grab the strings
fly with me.
-JGS-
when
you say my
existence is
substance, that I
bring the world a marvel
i am beholden
for you mean the
world to me
I love you
-JGS-
lost in your glance
radiant hues
of blue an ocean,swept away
want to be held
by you
as your eyes do
as i drown
as you
walk
away.

That torment
I don’t mean
a thing needing to
let you go
cut the twine
watch you
fly
gone
when you only
let me
cry
and fall
-JGS-
redemption of
my ashen tomb
where my
spirit was cold
you keep me
safe
soft prayers as you
hold me close
i am alive
now
-JGS-
soaring above
the skies within
my dreams
luminous, my love for you
i fall freely, inhaling
your soul, my need
to have you
catch me
-JGS-
broken reflection
shards of unwanted
glass on confused
tile
connecting it back
slow
a glimpse
trying to
believe I am beautiful.
